Agròpolis

A space dedicated to agri-food education, research and innovation

Agròpolis is located in the municipality of Viladecans, surrounded by one of Catalonia's largest horticultural production areas (Baix Llobregat Agricultural Park). It benefits from excellent transport links: just 5 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from Barcelona and its port, via the C-31 and C-32 motorways.

Facilities

  • Greenhouses. Agròpolis has two greenhouses: a glass greenhouse (1,044 m2) for growing plants under controlled temperature and humidity conditions, and a plastic greenhouse (735 m2). Both are equipped with a basic programmable irrigation system.
  • Agricultural machinery and equipment facility.
  • Cultivation fields. More than 6 hectares of cultivation fields with irrigation facilities.
  • Service building. The building includes offices for companies in the sector and UPC research staff, laboratories for companies and UPC, a meeting room with a capacity of 12 people, and a multipurpose room accommodating more than 50 people.
