- Presentation of the results of the AI4Water project
Sep 17, 2025 from 09:30 AM to 01:00 PM (Europe/Madrid / UTC200)
Seu de la Cooperativa d’Ivars. Carrer de Lleida, 2-8. Ivars d'Urgell (Lleida)
The effects of climate change pose new challenges regarding water use in agricultural activities, particularly in the Mediterranean region, where these effects are expected to intensify in the coming years. In agriculture, as in other sectors, digitalisation is a valuable tool for optimising the use of water, a precious resource, and improving its management, making the sector more resilient and better equipped to anticipate future adverse climate trends.
Within this context of digital transition in the agri-food sector, data are the fundamental source of information that enables the implementation of innovative technologies. Furthermore, sharing and jointly exploiting data generates new information, opening up a wide range of opportunities to address present and future challenges. It is therefore necessary to create collaborative spaces where all stakeholders in the agri-food value chain can join forces in data management to make the most of the benefits that digitalisation offers in addressing future water-related challenges.
