Target audience

Tool intended for winegrowers and other types of fruit growers.

Project objective

This is an application that enables the determination of the optimal amount of plant protection product and the application volume to be distributed in trellised vineyards. The device also provides farmers with a practical guide for selecting the appropriate operating parameters (pressure, speed, nozzles ...) and makes it possible to properly adjust the amount of plant protection product to the vegetation, in line with the provisions of the European Directive on the Sustainable Use of Pesticides

Project description

This is a tool (APP and website) for determining the optimal application volume when applying plant protection products in vineyards, based on the Leaf Wall Area (LWA) calculation method.

The application, developed for the iOS and Android operating systems, is available in five languages and two measurement systems (International System and US-Imperial), thereby facilitating its widespread use in the world's major wine-producing regions.

It enables users to determine the appropriate application parameters for correct spraying (forward speed, operating pressure, nozzle type and number). Dosaviña® can also be used to calibrate and adjust equipment for other types of fruit crops.
