Who the project is aimed at

Rice farmers and rice-growing industries.

Project objective

To develop an automatic, low-cost, low-energy-consumption salinity sensor system.

Project description

This project develops a wireless sensor network consisting of low-cost electrical conductivity measurement nodes and an autonomous power supply based on energy harvesting, capable of transmitting readings to a central server in real time. These data enable growers to manage and protect their rice fields effectively and significantly reduce water consumption for flooding.

The patented system and its electrical conductivity measurement method may have other applications.
