Website
Who the project is aimed at
Water management technicians, public administrations, local organisations, companies in the water sector and communities in the SUDOE region (south-western Europe), with the aim of strengthening their capacity to address water scarcity and improve sustainable water management.
Project objective
To establish a territorial planning strategy to promote access to water and sustainable water management in the SUDOE region, integrating innovative solutions such as treated wastewater reuse and improving water governance and quality.
Project description
In response to the growing pressure on water resources caused by increasing human demand, TARGET will develop action plans incorporating the use of unconventional water resources, such as treated wastewater reuse. The project will promote pilot actions to implement and assess these solutions while also addressing the issue of emerging contaminants. Through collaboration with partners and stakeholders from several countries in the SUDOE region, TARGET will promote the exchange of knowledge and experience to develop a common, sustainable water management strategy, thereby helping to improve territorial resilience to water scarcity.
